Kopaonik workshop on researchers mobility in WB hits the target

The workshop "Researchers mobility in the region of Western Balkans", recently anounced on WEB-MOB portal (see the announcement), organized by WEB-MOB partners from Serbia, MEF Niš and REC Belgrade, took place on 12 March 2007 on mountain Kopaonik, as a side event of YuInfo conference.

Mr . Dimitrios Sanopoulos from CERTH, WEB-MOB project coordinator, was also invited to give a keynote presentation at the opening of the conference. The topic of his presentation was "FP7 Specific Programme People - Policies and Marie Curie Actions".

The workshop started with the opening statements of dr Ivan Videnović, assistant minister, Ministry of Science and environmental protection of Serbia and Mr. Sanopoulos. Dr Videnović emphasized that the findings of WEB-MOB project will be of great help to the Ministry in its efforts to overcome the obstacles to mobility in Serbia. Workshop attendants also had the chance to learn about Bulgarian experiences in researchers mobility, from the presentation by dr Elisaveta Gurova from University of Sofia, Bulgarian Mobility NCP. Those presentations, as well as other presentations given by WEB-MOB partners, may be found here.

A press clip on WEB-MOB project, resulting from interviews given at the conference, may be found here (in Serbian, source: Večernje novosti).
