Subjects of the research are: curriculum, learning process, class management, encouragement of student creative potential, teacher training and family-school collaboration. Research on learning process and conditions for achieving quality of knowledge in sciences and social disciplines in primary and secondary school comprises following issues: research in syllabuses, textbooks and teaching process, on one hand and outcomes of learning process, on the other hand; effects of cooperative learning on social climate in class, students’ attitudes towards school subjects, and quality of knowledge; impacts of students’ goals orientation and learning strategies in their academic achievement; ability to understand the language and use it efficiently; cultural and intercultural dimension in curriculum.

Round table: Cooperation in the field of education among countries developed on the territory of former Yugoslavia: "Education for democracy and peace in the countries of former Yugoslavia through the teaching of History, Geography, Literature and Civil Education", 13-15 September 2002, Brijuni, Croatia.Representatives of Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia each gave an account of changes in the field of education from 1991-2002. Discussion involved similarities and dissimilarities within the framework of existing educational systems in former Yugoslav Republics.
