The current international collaboration in the framework of the project: APOPTOSIS AND ITS POTENTIAL CLINICAL APPLICATION IN RADIATION ONCOLOGY is a multidisciplinary task involving physics, cellular biology and medicine. The aim of the project is to investigate the effects of anti proliferate agents and growth modulation by ionizing radiation on malignant transformed cells in culture. This mutual research includes experimental workby our associates in LNS-Catania on their large accelerator facility used for proton therapy and experiments in physics, chemistry and biology. In the framework of this collaboration, a Ph.D. thesis is being prepared. By this program and as a result of cooperation, joint scientific publications are planned. Country involved: ItalyColaboration with Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, Laboratori Nazionali del Sud, Catania, Italy. |
