EU and Western Balkans Countries sign visa deal
Visa facilitation and readmission agreements between the EU and all Western Balkan countries were signed on September 18, 2007 which will make it easier for citizens of the WBCs to acquire short stay visas.

Workshop 'Researchers Mobility' to take place in Zagreb, 25.10.2007
Workshop, which will be held at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, is organised as dissemination event of WEB-MOB project. More details and workshop programme may be found in the attached leaflet.
Three Western Balkan countries join FP7
Croatia, Serbia and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia are now eligible to compete on an equal footing with EU Member States in the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), following the signature of Memoranda of Understanding with the European Commission. A similar agreement was also recently signed between Turkey and the Commission.
Visa Facilitation For WBC On The Way
With the signing of visa facilitation agreements in April 2007, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYR of Macedonia and Montenegro are now one step nearer to the European Union.

15.4.2007. FP7 Information Event in Skopje
The Ministry of Education and Science and the Reserach Center for Energy, Informatics and Materials of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ICEIM-MANU), in co-operation with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) and Directorate General Research, is organising an information event in Skopje on 26th April 2007 at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts

Messages from the workshop and keynote speech by Mr. Sanopoulos reached wide scientific audience of YuInfo conference as well as Serbian government officials.

WEB-MOB project to be presented at The International Mobility of Researchers workshop in Paris
Mr. Dimitrios Sanopoulos from CERTH will participate in the workshop, sheduled for 28 March 2007, where he will have the opportunity to present WEB-MOB project.

Researchers from Croatia, FYR of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia eligible as researchers from Associated Countries in FP7
The status of researchers from these four WBC countries that has taken effect from January 1, 2007. is based on the procedure that has recently been lunched - the preparing of Memorandum of Understanding on terms and conditions for participation as an Associated Country in FP7.
